| SDH Solutions / Introduction |
|
|
Tellabs' third-generation solutions enable network operators to upgrade their existing SDH network with carrier-class data services. The well-known Tellabs® 6300 managed transport systems are enhanced to offer the following solutions: Ethernet-over SDH, distributed transport switching, national backbone and mobile network. All solutions are managed by a centralised, carrier-class network management system. |

| 1- General Electric Multilin a-(TN1U SDH Multiplexer)Fiber Optic Terminal Equipment Networks |
|
|
The TN1U solution offers inherent SDH advantages and pushes this further out into the network through synchronous integration of 64Kb/s channels which allows simple add/drop capability of specialty traffic including tele-protection, surveillance video, substation automation, wire speed Ethernet, plus traditional data and voice telephony. The TN1U Networks provide solutions for Electrical Power Utilities, Pipelines, Industrial Applications, and Transportation Corridors
Designed specifically for the unique needs of utilities, the TN1U Multiplexer combines a variety of services onto a common fiber backbone, cost-effectively sharing a common telecom infrastructure. The TN1U goes beyond SDH standards offering the industry's fastest path protection switching (<3ms) and incorporating special design characteristics that allow it to meet IEC and IEEE/ANSI standards for operation within harsh environments (RFI and SWC). For applications such as loop detection, video surveillance, VMS, emergency voice, SCADA, signaling, electric traction control, tele-protection, substation
automation, wire speed Ethernet,PBX phone drop extensions, low speed polling data, PLC, and power measurement data, the TN1U SDH Multiplexer is the telecom product of choice…
- Functions as an SDH STM-4 or STM-1 drop-and-insert multiplexer with up to 252 or 63 VC-12 drop capacity.
- Integrated voice, data, 10/100 Mb Ethernet and video interfaces
- Robust environmental design.
- Supports two fibre linear applications, self-healing D-P rings, multiple rings and rings plus spurs.
- Supports multiple STM-1 rings interconnected through synchronous TIE links.
- Allows visibility of network down to each individual 64 kb/s channel
- VistaNET client-server or stand-alone Network Management System (NMS) manages the complete solution from optical transmission to individual applications.
- Extremely fast path protection switching (<3 ms).
- 1310 nm and 1550 nm optical interfaces available.
- Optional video control system package.
- Optional SNMP NMS interface.ط Allows visibility of network traffic down to each individual 64,000 pbs channel.
Extended ambient temperature operation, (-10° to +60° C) |

| 2- General Electric Multilin b- TN1Ue SDH MultiplexerFiber Optic Terminal Equipment Networks for Electric Utilities |
|
|
The TN1Ue SDH Multiplexer is an integrated STM-1 SDH Multiplexer, providing both transport and access capabilities within a single package. The TN1Ue SDH Multiplexer offers inherent SDH advantages – interoperability, survivability and integrated performance monitoring – and pushes this further out into the network, through synchronous integration of 64 kb/s channels. This allows simple add/drop capability of any user traffic. Additionally, TN1Ue incorporates special design characteristics that allow it to meet IEC and IEEE/ANSI standards for operation within harsh environments (SWC, RFI and EMC).

| 3- General Electric Multilin c- JungleMux SONET MultiplexerFiber Optic Terminal Equipment Networks for Electric Utilities |
|
|
TheJungleMUX is an integrated OC-1/OC-3/OC-12 SONET multiplexer, providing both transport and accesscapabilities within a single package. JungleMUX offers SONET's inherent advantages–interoperability, survivability and integrated performance monitoring, and pushes this further out into the network, through synchronous integration of DS-0 traffic.
Designed specifically for the unique needs of utilities, the JungleMUX system supports a wide range of specialty traffic, including teleprotection (direct transfer trip and pilot wire relaying), surveillance video, substation automation, Ethernet and telephony. High system availability is provided
through redundant common equipment and compliance with Bellcore SONET standards for path switched ring protection architecture. Point-to-point, linear add/drop and multiple rings can be supported. But JungleMUX goes beyond SONET standards, offering the industry’s fastest path protection switching (<3ms), and incorporating special design bharacteristics that allow it to meet ANSI/IEEE standards for operation in harsh environments (RFI and SWC).
Features and Benefits

| VistaNET Network Management System |
|
|
VistaNet is GE Multilin’s response to increased customer demand for a more flexible NMS. It can be provisioned as a standalone or a client-server LAN/WAN solution, permitting centralized or distributed network management.
Redundant NMS access routes to a Lentronics Multiplexer network segment can be provided via multiple nodes, resulting in improved reliability.
VistaNET supports linear and ring network segment topologies. From a single system view, multiple interconnected and discrete network segments can be managed.
Network sizes ranging from a few nodes in a single ring, to hundreds of nodes contained within many rings can be efficiently monitored and controlled. |
