The unique solution for connecting HF/VHF-Radio voice circuits via satellite.
SkyWAN® PEC 1000 employs state-of-the-art voice compression techniques to economically interconnect radio (HF/VHF) voice circuits via satellite.
In combination with the SkyWAN® IDU series, the PEC 1000 enables point to-point radio voice circuit connection through standardized interfaces to a wide range of telecommunications equipment.
A main feature is the ability to match the specifi c characteristics of the radio communications equipment to those of the satellite satcom environment, thus maximizing connection quality and bandwidth economy. Permanent link monitoring instigates automatic switchover to redundant equipment and ensures maximum network availability.

| SkyWAN® NMS Tools |
|
|
ND SatCom provides a Network Management System (NMS) for managing and monitoring the SkyWAN® terminals and network. Based on HP Open View Manager, the NMS utilizes SNMP and runs on professional quality PC equipment. For redundancy purposes a backup NMS can be installed at any site of the network. The SkyWAN® NMS provides a significant set of features and tools to support the network operator during configuration, operation and monitoring of the network.
Optional NMS Tools include the Link Manager. The Link Manager allows the service provider to offer new on-demand services such as:
- Video Conferencing
- Media streaming
- Large fi le transfer
The Link Manager enables easy web-based scheduling of video conference or any other occasional use applications via SkyWAN® networks. End users can also establish connections within their private network via PC with web-based access to the SkyWAN® NMS. |

The SkyLANE offers data rates from 9.6 kbps to 2048 kbps and is equipped with Viterbi error correction. Together with the reliable L-band transceiver series of ND SatCom which is available in Kuband in 2, 4, 8, 16, 25 and 30 Watt as well as in C-band in 5, 10, 20, 40 and 60 Watt the SkyLANE is a high performance solution for point-to-point links. Thus transmissions of voice, video or data for high-speed Internet access can be implemented most cost efficiently in combination with the SkyWAN® FAD series.
