Our Core Business :
The skilled teams of BTC Networks play a crucial role in the management of multi-disciplines in communications with competence and confidence. With the Saudi market aspiring to durable, time independent and quality-solutions at reasonable cost, BTC Networks opted for the alliance with Northern Telecom in order to simplify the client's interaction with their Telecom provider in terms of product, strategy and implementations.
Backward Compatibility
The theme of 'evergreen' philosophy originated in the early seventies by Nortel with its SL-1 system, continues today with its Meridian 1 family, the entry point of BTC Networks in Digital Voice Switching, proves to remain the stepping stone for the future of data and IP communications thus protecting past investments.
Switching
Switching is the main core business. BTC Networks has introduced to the Saudi market various options of Meridian 1 PABX systems and the entire family of Norstar Key systems and applications aiming at fulfilling the market's diverse requirements in capacity and processing power. The follow-through solutions; networking, central management of geographically spaced M1 systems, voice-messaging and call centers, boosted further the unshaken domination of the Meridian 1 family and its by-products.
Outside Plant Networks
BTC Networks has provided the entire breadth of essential prerequisites, namely networks, either in Fiber Optics, single or multi-mode or Copper to implement LAN, CAW, security or surveillance applications. Considering the existing Copper network which is currently the dominant means of physical connectivity, BTC Networks offers remedies for its ailments and deficiencies aiming at improving its efficiency in transporting various types of traffic through a myriad of Tellabs line-conditioning solutions and Telindus DSL Modems.
Power Engineering
BTC Networks provides modular AC/DC and UPS systems in various capacities for either telecom or computing applications, solar power panels for stand-alone outdoor radio and fiber optic repeaters.
Software Development
With switching comes call billing, a very essential requirement where the self capabilities of BTC Networks in the design of generic billing software has resulted in the development of 'COMMA' billing system, rated as the most versatile, accurate and flexible software. 'COMMA' billing system is used at large in call cabins across the Kingdom.
Videoconferencing
In view of the Kingdom's expansive geography and ever developing telecommunications infrastructure and the soon to be available BRI-ISDN links, BTC Networks has invested in leading edge, stand-alone/PC based, point-to-point or Broadcast videoconferencing technology which is unmatched in cost reduction for applications like Telemedicine, Remote Education and for facilitating fast decision making.
Enterprise Intra-Site Connectivity
This is one of BTC Networks areas of distinction where Satellites, Microwaves and High Frequency wireless solutions are applied at large. VSAT technology was the alternate high speed platform utilized in the implementation of videoconferencing connectivity between the Kingdom's leading health centers and others abroad as well as several other implementations in the Banking industry as a reliable low cost back-up for all their financial transactional activities.
Wireless Communications
In L, M and P bands, BTC Networks supported the Inmarsat-based portable and vehicular terminals, providing connectivity needs at deserted locations. As a backbone for GSM, Rural Telephony, Wireless Local Loop and special military requirements, BTC Networks opted for revolutionary point-to-point or point-to-multi-point digital radios, employing a unique combination of leading-edge technologies aiming at maximizing the quality of the services offered. BTC Networks is a country leader in radio paging where voice, fax, text and data communications were implemented via two-way trunked radio systems as was Telemetry and SCADA via UHF/VHF simplex/duplex radios.
Data Communications
Businesses in all sectors are under unprecedented pressure to reduce operating costs, yet at the same time, not just maintain but actively improve customer service levels through cost-effective communications. The consolidation of different traffic types: voice, data and LAN onto a multi-service single network, results in cost savings in network bandwidth, operations, management, administration and staff training.
Today, the 'New World' is shifting into data communications, thus demanding communications companies to transform their core network systems from Voice-centric Circuit-switched into Packet-switched or preferably IP-based Data-centric. Whilst BTC Networks has the infrastructure to cater for such a demand and has implemented several large Wide-Area Networks, it continues at the same time to provide traditional services to our current and ever-expanding customer base.
With Nortel strength in Enterprise Communications solutions and with BTC Networks breadth of hardware and software capabilities, BTC Networks can combine disparate technologies in reliable secure networks which accommodate data and telephony together.
Access Solutions
BTC Networks has recognized the need for a multi-service access device which addresses the growth in different traffic types and which supports the roll-out of backbone technologies to the farthest outposts of the enterprise.
The Nortel data products award-winning Passport family of ATM enterprise network switches (ENSs) is designed to meet these needs. In essence, this consolidates voice, data and LAN and is typically used in small to medium-sized branches. Fully scalable, it is suitable for remote networks comprising as few as two to as many as several thousand nodes.
Digital Data Networks
BTC Networks has acquired extensive experience in ordinary, fast and gigabit Ethernet-based Local Area Networks, applying FDDI and ATM technologies and is just as competent in Wide Area Networks routing and switching methodologies using X.25, Frame Relay, ARM and IP.
Digital accessibility is yet another of BTC Networks domains of experience where solutions like HDSL, ADSL, VDSL, SDSL or DSL-Lite are successfully deployed in partnership with Nortel, Telindus and Tellabs, thus implementing the largest Digital Data Networks in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
